For the last two years, we have been cruising with Norwegian Cruise and have never been disappointed with their itinerary, services, food or staterooms. Since we wanted a short trip and brief introduction to Morocco, Madeira and Canary Islands without the hassle of flying or traveling from point to point, we decided to cruise with Norwegian again. This time with the Norwegian Spirit.
Norwegian Spirit sails all year in the Mediterranean Sea while many of her counterparts reposition during winter to the Caribbean and back to Europe in spring. To me, this itinerary looks really attractive:
In my opinion, there is no way we could possibly have the time to travel and see all the amazing places in the world even if we are traveling long-term. Some destinations are reserved for a longer stay while others we will just have to ‘touch and go’ or visit again.
Another plus point to go on a cruise to these destinations is the price. If you were to purchase a round trip ticket from Barcelona to Casablanca with Royal Air Maroc, it is about $300. If you add two nights accommodation at Hyatt Regency Casablanca it costs about $564 per person for double occupancy, including airfare and accommodation. That’s not including food and transfers from airport to hotel. How about nine days which includes Madeira Island (Portuguese island) and Canary Islands?
What do you think about including a portion of an around the world trip with a cruise? Let us know.
