Day 21 of 30 Days Countdown to South America and Around the World
For 31 days in January, I went gluten-free, sugar-free, caffeine-free, alcohol-free and had an ovo-vegetarian diet of whole grains, vegetables, fruits, nuts and eggs. I did it for two reasons. One is to detox my body and the other is for spiritual reasons. This experiment with my body has given me lasting results and given me an overview of what white wheat, white rice and processed foods can do to my body. It also helped me lose belly fat. 🙂
Though my days were long and stressful because of hours of writing, packing and preparing for travels, my body was very cooperative and my digestive and immune health were at its optimum. Almost everyone around me were getting the flu and I was doing great. I must admit, I got a lot of help from therapeutic grade essential oils particularly Sacred Frankincense, Valor, Peace and Calming, Peppermint and Thieves.
Aromatherapy has helped me improve physical, mental and emotional health. It's important to note that the only therapeutic grade essential oils that are undiluted, 100% pure and non-synthetic are beneficial. We are bringing about twenty 5 ml. and 15 ml. bottles of essential oils for our around the world travels. We put them in our Travel Health and First Aid Kit. Each of us have three little bottles we packed in a clear Ziploc bag to place in our carry-on.
