Day 13 of 30 Days Countdown to South America and Around the World
I'm in a dilemma! To bring a check in bag with my mobile aromatherapy kits and essential oils or leave them behind without my essentials for everyday living and travel with just the carry on.
Home diffuser and essential oils have been my travel aromatherapy must-haves in the past two years. In our recent 11 day cruise to the Southern Caribbean, we diffused essential oils to kill any airborne bacteria, to purify and to humidify the room. In fact we brought this home diffuser from Young Living (below). This diffuser combines a humidifier, air purifier, atomizer and aromatherapy diffuser into one product. It safely releases essential oils into the air to eliminate odors and create a spa-like atmosphere.
I filled it with purified or distilled water, added 8-12 drops of Purification, Thieves, Lavender or any desired essential oil and turned it on.
Another diffuser that we use at home is TheraPro Premium Diffuser. This nebulizes essential oils and disperses them into the air in an ultrafine mist for concentrated therapy. It is another easy portable way to diffuse oil in any room.
We attach a 15-ml essential oil bottle and select the setting with timer and it is ready to 'work the room'. You can instantly transform your room into a spa-like environment with aroma that pleases all senses.
A Frenchmen named Rene Maurice Gattefosse in 1928 who used essential oils for holistic treatment of the body, mind and spirit created the word aromatherapy. Travelers can definitely benefit from aromatherapy and the use of essential oils when traveling to anywhere in the world.
